

I've played the remaster through several times and enjoyed it immensely thanks to the combat, but the changes HAVE been a massive disappointment on many levels (not ingame levels, but, well, you get what I mean). Sometimes from a side area which becomes pretty much pointless, sometimes literally from around a corner. What isn't apparent on the map changes is how much key items such as keys, switches and such have been moved into the main path.

The physical layouts have been altered for level 1 (two of the areas are now connected instead of being separated by a portal, and there is an all-new courtyard), level 2 (several mission objective areas have been clumsily thrust into the main path, now unavoidable and unmissable), level 4 (underwater maze simplified, some alterations in the end bits) and I think level 5 near the end? Though maybe not. I feel like an invisible force is calling to me to reply in this thread.
